Bump Ad
Add users the ability to bump ClassiPress ads back to top.
This will drive posters to come back to your site to bump their ads
and will help your site to look more active by ads changing all the
time even though many could be bumped ads.
Users are limited to bump at interval times and can be charged for it.
Admins can bump any ad any time without charge.
The charge is done through the framework payment gateways.
Bump packages are supported in ClassiPress 3.4+

the admin set purchase packages for how many bumps and how much it costs.
there is no setting for auto bump.

Hi there,
I have used the plugin for some days and I like it! Users come back more often so it works fine. One function that I feel like I need is to be notified by an email when someone Bump an ad. To have a option (a checkbox) in backend to turn on or off to get an email. Mabye this is difficult to do? Or slow down things? I get email for everything else, like comments, new user, new ad, update ads etc.
What do you say?

Very difficult to understand why ..
What I mean is that it is a bit difficult to separate New ads from Bump ads. A new ad have a higher value for my business than a Bumped ad.
I want to be able to see how many new ads I have, and how many bumped ad I have per month (for example).
As it is now, it is a bit difficult to measure this.
To get an email notification could be one way to separat this.
This is not a support forum.
I just wanted to give some feedback of the plugin – thats all.

1. you can charge users for bump.
2. admins dont pay. ad will bump for free for admins.
3. user will be redirected to payment page when trying to bump an ad. (admins are not redirected and dont need to pay).
4. the plugin works with latest version of classipress. also 3.5.2
I love this plug in and want to start charging for the use.

there is an install link at the top that shows you how to get into the options page.
there is also a support link after it to get you into the support forums.
if you use newer version of classipress and this plugin then you can set bump packages same as you set up ad packages. its in the same menu.

I left a message in the forum beginning of the week, I’m keen to get this running on my site, but need clarification on whether logging or tracking use is available anywhere.
Last thing I’d want is a user to dispute his bump allocation, and i have no means to prove what he’s used it on.

Do the bumped ads come above the featured ads ?
what happens to the expiry date after bumping the ad ? Is it affected too ?
bumping an ad only changes the listing date. if they are above or below featured ads is not relevant for this plugin. the theme or other plugin decide this.
after bump expire date can be extended or not. this is an option in the options page.

there is no auto bump in this plugin. there is a another plugin in the marketplace for auto bump.
