Advanced Custom Fields for ClassiPress
The Advanced Custom Fields for ClassiPress(ACFCP) plugin is a powerful tool for extending the ClassiPress theme.
It allows you to add and completely control extra Profile fields and custom Ad fields. Also ACFCP Plugin allows the interaction of custom profile fields with custom ad fields and vice versa.

The Plugin developed for a specific version of ClassiPress! After each update ClassiPress Plugin source code review. This may take some time.
Be prepared that if you upgrade ClassiPress before the release of upgrade Plugin – the Plugin turns off (for not to cause potential errors). The Plugin resume work on the condition that his version is compatible with the version of ClassiPress.
Manual Installation:
- Download the Plugin zip file advanced-custom-fields-for-classipress.zip
- Open WP Admin dashboard -> Plugins -> Add new -> Upload
- Upload and activate the Plugin from Plugins page.
- Find the menu “ClassiPress” on the WordPress administration page. Select the lower point “ACF options” and proceed to configure the Plugin.
Manual Update:
- Export ACF plugin settings to the INI file (just in case)
- Deactivate and Delete installed ACF plugin from plugins page
- Repeat all steps from manual install (see above)
Localization:
Starting with plugin version 2.3, was implemented internationalization system of plugin settings content.
Language Packs and Portable Object Template are located in the folder /wp-content/plugins/advanced-custom-fields-for-ClassiPress/languages/
Installing Language Packs:
- Open folder
/wp-content/plugins/advanced-custom-fields-for-ClassiPress/languages/ - Find Pack file for your language with name

Dikiyforester literally bends over backwards to help, guide and listen to what his customers and forum members want and need.
If you have a question regarding this plugin he’ll answer it.
If you need a fix for something not working quite right – he’ll fix it.
If you would like a new feature adding – he’ll try his best to accommodate it providing it’s do-able.
When I pay for any plugin it has to work 100%. Like anybody – I want the best I can get for my money. Well this plugin doesn’t disappoint and neither does it’s author.

I won’t go in details when it comes to the functionality of ACF because this plugin already sells itself, although I will praise the developer for thinking outside the box and creating this plugin based on realistic and essential needs for the AT community and the CP theme, there are many great developers out there that create useful plugins but many fail to keep it uptodate or delivering the full capacity of the expected results.
The developer of ACF is not only staying uptodate and constantly interacting in the forums while listening to everyone’s suggestions and actually applying the changes, but he also manages to provide full custom support even if it involves fixing something outside the scope of his own plugin, this is pure dedication and you cant put a price on it.

It seems to be not possibel to use a costum url and the classipress intergrated url.
The url on the frontpage is the same as the standart url of classipress wich user can modify in there profile.
The standart intergrated url of classipress where can i remove this ? It is not in the plugin.

Maybe Tjalling is trying to achieve the following:
By my understanding of the previous comment “The standart intergrated url of classipress where can i remove this ?” this seems to me that Tjalling wants to amend the core “tpl-profile.php” page lines 198 – 201 by commenting out the html for this.

Great plugin.
Can I make another suggestion. Allow the custom fields to appear in the poster tab instead of the main ad page. Reason being if some info such as handphone or license number should not dilute the information of the ad.

Please note ACFCP1.1 works only with ClassiPress3.2
Don’t afraid to update the plugin, all settings will be preserved.
For greater certainty, Open “Export/Import/Clear” Tab of settings and export your ACFCP settings to INI file and save it in your local drive.
How to update:
1. You need to download last version ACFCP 1.1 from your Appthemes dashboard (where you download ClassiPress)
2. Update ACFCP following the instructions on this page at tab “Installation”
I know it’s something you have not tested yet, so just to let you know it does not work with the Dynamic Multi-Level Fields Plugin.
Is adding dynamic fields something you plan to do in a future version of this plugin? (eg when Country is selected, State values for that country only will load). Or maybe you can make it compatible with dm-lf plugin?
Unfortunately, I am afraid that we can not make friends, these two plugins.

Not sure I understand your question.
If you mean custom Ad fields – this is done using standard functionality by adding custom forms and link this form to the selected category.
If you mean custom Profile fields – These fields are linked to the user profile and are not relevant to the category of ads. Because the user profile is not associated with any category of ads.
If I misunderstood you, please correct me.

2 for a seller who can not bid on items
For the registration page the seller must provide more detail information than a buyer. Is this all possible with your tool?

At the moment, the plugin allows you to display the fields for all users equally.
Here’s what can be done now:
Option 1 – display all fields and make them not required (that is by default)
Option 2 – also display all the fields, but to add a selection box of roles (seller / buyer). Add additional javascript code for hidding “sellers” fields if “buyer” role selected and vice versa.
Functionality for different forms already on the way, but i don’t sell the promises!

when user wants to submit the ads in the calendar there are only dates from 2002-2022 I need from 1800-2050 or similar.

So, as you can see in calendar box, year field – is dropdown.
List items depended on current filled year (-10….+10) and it’s 20 items in list.
So if you will set year range 1800 to 2050 it will 250 items.
I think, we are need to dig deeper in the jQuery DatePicker code, to find right solution.

Robert, what you are looking for is NOT part of the ACFCP plugin, yet its built-in the CP theme, its called Advanced Search, it goes in a widget and allows the users to Filter the search results based on the fields that you choose and enable in the backend.

I just added alot of fields in Profile Fields that where suppost to be for the New Add page. Is there a way they show up in Ad Fields?

1. Plugin not makes new Ad fields, plugin works with Ad fields, which you already added via ClassiPress dashboard.
2. Profile fields can not be on the form of a new ad or edit ads.
But you can use inheritance of Profile-field values to Ad-fields values.
For this open “ACF options” -> “Ad Fields”
Enter to “Default value” name of the Profile field, which value you want inherit.
Wondering if with this plugin I can allow users to customize their profile with pre-set fields that I set, add images. What I want to do is make it a registry for their vehicle so they can show off their vehicle as my site is a car site.
Then I would like to be able to use a widget to display the registry of vehicles and images, basic information from their profile if they decide they want to.
Would this work to accomplish this?
