More Memberships
With this ClassiPress plugin you will be able to limit ad posting to users .
You can set default limit to all users, then sell membership pack’s that offers bigger limit.
You can also limit single user to post more ads than specified.
Why you need this plugin?
You can create for example few membership packs:
– Free membership 3 ads for $0
– Bronze membership 10 ads for $5
– Silver membership 20 ads for $10
– Golden membership 50 ads for $20
You can limit any membership pack on how many ads you like. Zero means unlimited number of ads.
Please note: Plugin is not compitable with membership packs required by category, it calculates all posted ads for users.
What themes does this work with?
More memberships will work with:
- ClassiPress 3.4 and gather
1. Extract the folder into your wordpress plugins directory.

Useless plugin, members can post ads even after reaching ad limit by just old ads.
After installing this plugin it worked in 2015. However I discovered this year that it was the cause for blank screen every time a user tried to post and ad on my site. May I request the developer to update this plugin so that it works in harmony with the latest wordpress update. Its a very useful plugin and I need something of the sort for my website but shouldnt cause issues either.
It does not work , I want my money back . If you want evidence do a video showing that not score runs . Where request a refund ? I would love to work, that sad.

1) Yes there are translation files.
2) Package name will be shown in user dashboard by default of classipress, but for now, limit of ads will NOT be shown in user dashboard ( this feature will be available soon ).
3) When limit of ad reached, user will be redirected to the purchase-membership page with an error message that he reached a limit of posting ads, you can see screenshot no. 3.
4) I didn’t understand you for this one 😀
5) Not for now.
For example, you can write in description of membership package how much of ads they can post.
Actualy, about fifth question, classipress sends email before membership expire. So yes. Email will be sent.

At present, we can manually Enter Pack ID to activate membership for user.
You can also manually set the Membership Pack Expires Date.
We can also manually set the Pack ID and limit the number of ads in the profile.
You can manually set membership pack and the date of expiration, but not limit of ad. For now there is now way to limit a single user. I’m working on it.

The reason I’m asking this, my site runs on 3.3.3.. And i have made lots of customization on it.
I didn’t upgrade to the newer version yet, as the 3.4 has lots of problems.

Hi! I need Limit Ads membership for 3.3.3 too. Newer version ClassiPress has lot of bugs 3.4 – 3.4.1 – catastrophy (bugs, erros, issues, neveending story), 3.3.3. and 3.3.2 is o.k. If it works on 3.3.3 I buy.

Hello. Thank you for response. I know for 3.3.3 dangerous, but my problems with newer versions is, categories are hiding or dissapear if set Membership Packages on no limit ads. Next trouble why i need your component is, Membership Package with unlimited ads no overwrite defolt ClassiPress duration. Work only if set Pay Per Ad.

can you make it like, can limit customers with there username or emails and rest all other members stay as they are, i want to open membership package to car dealers only so i can provide this type of membership to them with there username and rest all other members have no effect.
Currently I’m working on that, so you can limit single user or all users without membership and also users who have membership 🙂 New version will be released soon.
Do you know approximately how long it will be before you upgrade the plugin so we can edit limits per user?
Progres is at 85% or more. There is no eta but it will not take longer than one week from now, because I need to test some things.

when a user buys free membership, when finished ads can not buy back free package yet?
Yes he can, but limit remain same. So he can’t post more ads till he buy another membership that allows more ads to be posted.
Im afraid I didnt understand this. Imagine this: I have the free membership, then I posted 3 ads, when I want to post the 4th, I will be redirected to the purchase membership page, and choose one membership. But, If I can choose again the free membership, and Have another free 3 ads, this doesnt make sense… because I could indefenitly purchase the free membership and never pay anything: posting 3 ads at the time.
Alternative: when the user is redirected to the purchase membership because he reached the limit of free ads, the free version should not be available, right?
Hi there, you just didn’t understood how plugin work’s. Let’s get for example even worse situation than you gived:
User have premium membership that have limit of 10 ads. (He/she reached limit)
What user can do in this situation:
1. Edit, relist, delete but he can’t post new ad.
Membership pack for same user expires. He emidiately get default limit you defined ( example 3 ads ) in setting. What he can do now?
He can just delete ads, and he can’t even edit or relist existing ads because he have more ads that his limit.
Until he will have 3 ads, and than he can relist or edit existing ads, but can’t post new one until delete one more.
It’s same situation if user deside to buy cheaper membership pack.

ok, i got it. the limit is for active ads, listed on the site. Not the overall adds posted, right? Is there a way to limit the overall ads posted? If a user posted 3 ads and, even if he deleted one, he still needs to purchase more ads?
Limit is for overall ads. Plugin calculates paused, active, and expired ads if you don’t use prune ads option in classipress settings
Plugin is updated. There are new features also.

I am struggling now to check the correct boxes in the classipress dashboard to make everything as I need to. It seems that I got it right: 3 limit ads for free, then the user trying to post the 4th is redirected to purchase the membership, the user purchases it and now h can post unlimited ads. Fine so far. 🙂
However (there you go…) How can I set the classipress packs and memberships definitions to be able to charge for featured ads? The problem is that I need to put “fixed price” to be able to achieve all the above, and with that the featured ads are not an option to choose.. 🙁

So I am now using More membership plugin that allows me to set the limit of ads for a price, and I choose in classipress setting that membership pack is not a requirement to post ad; my natural assumption is that when a user uses up his limit, he can choose to purchase additional ad based on the fixed price per ad basis when at least one ad pack is created… but what actually happens is when a user has used up his limit from his membership package, he is forced to renew or choose another package, or advised to delete ads to create ad allowance, instead of being allowed to keep his package which has not expired (but only that the current limit is reached) and be allowed to take up extra ads on per ad basis. Is this a bug? Or is ad pack and member pack are never meant to be used in conjunction with each other? If I would like to have this more memberships function with the ability to allow users to purchase more ads on fixed price per ad basis with price modifier discount (based on his membership status as allowed in the package settings) after their membership package limit is up, how do i do that?
Does the price modifier help to modify price of other purchases by this member, like when he purchases a featured listing, a bump ad, etc?

Is it possible to have varying durations for the packages too?
For example:
1 ad for 30 days = free
10 ads for 90 days = $10
50 ads for 120 days = $50
Etc?

Yes you can, there is a option to set limit to a particular user which will override his/her membership or global limit of ads.

Hello, first of all, classipress 3.3.3 is vulnerable to Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks so my advice is that you do upgrade, also classipress 3.5 is on the way. Im using classipress 3.4.1 and there is no bugs as I can see. To answer your question, this plugin is not compitable with lower versions of classipress than 3.4 and probably will never be, at least it will not have all of the functions. Sorry but you will need to do upgrade of classipress or to skip this plugin 😀 😀 😀

first thing is that CP 3.5 is not still published. We are waiting. If your subscription on appthemes is active, there will no be aditional fee for upgrade. Files and records will not be deleted for shure. If you maded core changes to the theme, you will lose that. If you used childtheme instead upgrade will not hurt you, and never will. You just make shure that child theme is compitabile with new version of CP.
P.S. More membeships plugin works with CP 3.4.1 it’s not working with 3.3.3
Also allways make shure to make a backup of your website just in case something unusual happens.

i would like to see this plugin be able to limit ads by time if possible. you see i don’t charge for ads on my site so i just want to control the amount of ads they post one after another in an attempt to take up all the homepage space.
for example i would like to make it so a user can’t upload/or re-start/or bump up, more than 1 ad in hours a 4 hour period.
Anyways hope this is something others might need and help make this happen.
