The screenshot for selecting job duration states “not used with job packs”. What does this mean?

Can I have, for example, someone buy a job pack which is a job lasting 90 days but then the job poster wants to change the end date to say 25 days?

    • author
      Bruno Carreço

@tcm03, that’s actually an old screenshot. FXtender Pro already allows updating job durations with either job plans or job packs.

Here’s an updated screenshot of that option: http://cl.ly/image/041t0E0W0x3A/fx-job-duration-screenshot.png

Note that the duration can only be changed BEFORE the job is posted, not afterwards. Only an admin can change a job extend/change duration, after a job is posted, and it must be done from the backend.

      • tcm03

It sounds like it will work then, however the new screenshot still says it shouldn’t be used with job plans — so now I am confused??

We are charging for jobs using job plans. Can you confirm if this option will still allow publishers to change the job duration to less than that allowed by the job plan? I.e. if they are using a job plan of 30 days can they set it to 14 days when posting the job?

And in the same scenario what happens if they are using a job plan of say 30 days, does it not allow them to change the duration to say 40 days?

        Thanks.

          Bruno Carreço

@tcm03, sorry, gave you some wrong information on my previous post.

Employers CAN edit the job duration after the job is posted, as long as you have job editing enabled. They can set any job duration within a pre-set interval that you choose as you can see from the previous screenshot.

The duration can be changed when the job is being posted or afterwards when editing the job. It will override any duration from job packs or job plans. You can also choose who can change job durations: all publishers or admins only.

The note you’re referring to is just a recommendation since you can create job plans and job packs with multiple durations. It makes more sense when you don’t use any of them.

FXtender Pro has now so many features that I end up forgetting about some of them 🙂

Just to be sure: can we make mandatory to apply with a CV (so if not CV added in the apply form, the candidate cannot apply)?

    • author
      Bruno Carreço

@exapro, you would need some custom changes to make the CV mandatory. FXtender Pro does provide a very big list of features but unfortunately it does not make the CV mandatory.

  • tcm03

Regarding the feature “Job application recipient field (allows admins manually submitting jobs on the front end to set the recipient email for each job)” can this be set or modified so that anyone posting a job can set the recipient email when posting a job from the front-end (i.e. not just admins)?

    • author
      Bruno Carreço

@tcm03, apologies for the late reply.

To make that feature work for all users (not just admins) you would need to modify FXtender Pro code. So, in practice you can, but with some customization to remove the ‘admins’ requirement. It’s a simple change, actually.

If you have FXtender Pro or intend to purchase it please send me a PM and I’ll help you.

  • chikkala

Hi I am looking at purchasing your plugin for my Jobsite that is using Jobroller but need to have a few things confirmed before i do.

1- is it possible to have monthly recurring payments for job packs?

2- will this work with jobright a jobroller child theme?

thank you for your time in advance.

  • justaddcash

I’m interested in the FXtender Pro. I have a few pre-sale questions:

    1) does the Admin have the option to control “Resume” submissions held for moderation before being published?

    2) Is there an option to charge the ‘job seekers’ to create/post Resumes? Could I offer a subscription to job-seekers?

    2) Is there a option to create an alphbetical “Companies” directory list? I’d like to have a page with the Companies listed and group all the related job-listings from each company.

    Thank you.

  • author
    Bruno Carreço

@justaddcash, I’ve already replied to your email with these same questions.

    Here’s my reply:

    1) Is there and option to charge (monetize = $) the \’job seekers\’ to create/post their Resume?
Actually there is an option to monetize on Job Seekers but you need a free 3d party plugin named ’s2member’ (https://s2member.com/). It’s a little complex to setup but if you read the instructions I’ve provided carefully you should be able to set it up easily. I’m attaching a screenshot with the FXender Pro / S2Member integration page so you can see which options are available.

    2) Is there a option to create an alphabetical \”Companies\” directory list? I\’d like to have a page with the Companies listed and group all the related job-listings from each company.
No. This feature is not provided by FX.

    3) Any option to redirect site visitors into registered users?
    Yes

You can actually try FXtender Lite version (http://bruno-carreco.com/wpuno/fxtender_jr/) to see the options that are available. Most of them are locked on the Lite version but you’ll get an idea on what’s available.

Hi Bruno. Thank you very much for your quick response. I really appreciate your professionalism and taking time to answer my pre-sale questions. I’ve just finished puchasing the FXtender Pro version..looks really nice. Good job!

    Question:

    1) does the redirect function also work with Indeed Feeds to redirect site visitors into registered users? I’d like to capture signups from users when they click the Indeed listing links before being redirected to Indeed website.

    2) are you available for-hire for WP customization needs, etc?

  • author
    Bruno Carreço

Thanks for your purchase @justaddcash. Glad you’re enjoying FX Pro 🙂

    Answering your questions:

    1) that’s not currently possible. You would need custom development to be able to achieve that.

    2) thanks for you interest on my my help but I’m not currently available. Maybe you can find someone to help in the forums?

    Thanks again!

    Question:

I have FXtender Pro installed and I just installed JobsApp (child theme). Any known conflicts, or special instruction for setting both to run together? Thanks.

No special instructions should be needed, @justaddcash. Thanks again.

    Hi Bruno.

Regarding S2member integration for “Job seeker” membership access for Resumes: I’m having a problem when the new user Roles upgrade to any membership level (level 0, 1 , 2, 3, 4) they get blocked access to their dashboard area. If I disable S2 and use original WP role everything is fine.

As an “Admin” role I can see FX blocking the Resume features, it looks nice. But when I test S2 as a “Job seeker” the dashboard area is completly blocked and gives this message:

    > Sorry, Nothing was Found
The page, job, or post may have been moved or no longer exists.

Any suggestions. Thanks and have a nice day.

  • author
    Bruno Carreço

@justaddcash, please check if S2member is not blocking the ‘Dashboard’ page (in Pages > All Pages).

If you have further support question please use the support forum as it’s easier to monitor and reply directly.

    Thanks.

Yes. The thumbnails (listing logos) in FXtender Pro are disabled by default. You can leave them disabled in that case.

    hello,

how to add attach resume field in job seeker?

  • justaddcash

Hi Bruno. Thanks for the suggestion but I checked and s2member andy its not blocking the ‘My Dashboard’ page. My problem still continues. Any more ideas? Can it be because related with AppsJobs (child theme).

    Thanks.

Yes. FXtender Pro is compatible with the JobsApp child theme.

Shouldn’t be related with the child theme but you can temporarily disable it just to make sure. Also, please try re-saving your permalinks under Settings > Permalinks.

  • Orixes

    Hi. GReat extension for Jobroller.

I’m using it on a page, allowing only registered users to apply. I need to add an extra feature: it is possible to add to applications a “status” field, so job publishers can accept or discard applications?

    Regards

  • author
    Bruno Carreço

Glad you’re enjoying FXtender Pro features @Orixes.

“it is possible to add to applications a “status” field, so job publishers can accept or discard applications?”
FXtender Pro does not yet provide that feature. It’s possible, yes, but it would need custom development.

    Hello,

I bought Fxtender on your website bruno-carreco.com, not via appthemes.

I would like to update the plugin, but the changelog says its version 1.4.4 (https://marketplace.appthemes.com/plugins/fxtender-pro/#changelog) while it’s still 1.4.3.1 in my member area.

Can you update it to the latest version on bruno-carreco.com please, so I can download it?

    thank you

    John
