Advanced Custom Fields for ClassiPress
The Advanced Custom Fields for ClassiPress(ACFCP) plugin is a powerful tool for extending the ClassiPress theme.
It allows you to add and completely control extra Profile fields and custom Ad fields. Also ACFCP Plugin allows the interaction of custom profile fields with custom ad fields and vice versa.
ACF adds many of the most requested features for ClassiPress:

The Plugin developed for a specific version of ClassiPress! After each update ClassiPress Plugin source code review. This may take some time.
Be prepared that if you upgrade ClassiPress before the release of upgrade Plugin – the Plugin turns off (for not to cause potential errors). The Plugin resume work on the condition that his version is compatible with the version of ClassiPress.
Manual Installation:
- Download the Plugin zip file advanced-custom-fields-for-classipress.zip
- Open WP Admin dashboard -> Plugins -> Add new -> Upload
- Upload and activate the Plugin from Plugins page.
- Find the menu “ClassiPress” on the WordPress administration page. Select the lower point “ACF options” and proceed to configure the Plugin.
Manual Update:
- Export ACF plugin settings to the INI file (just in case)
- Deactivate and Delete installed ACF plugin from plugins page
- Repeat all steps from manual install (see above)
Localization:
Starting with plugin version 2.3, was implemented internationalization system of plugin settings content.
Language Packs and Portable Object Template are located in the folder /wp-content/plugins/advanced-custom-fields-for-ClassiPress/languages/
Installing Language Packs:
- Open folder
/wp-content/plugins/advanced-custom-fields-for-ClassiPress/languages/ - Find Pack file for your language with name
advanced-custom-fields-for-ClassiPress-[LANGUAGE CODE]_[COUNTRY CODE].mo*.
See the complete list of language codes and country codes to find your exact locale. - Copy this file to WordPress common localization folder
/wp-content/languages/plugins/ - Open “ACF Options” page and start to work with plugin.
* Note: If a language pack doesn’t exist for your language, you’ll have to create it yourself. AppThemes “How to Translate a WordPress Theme” tutorial will explain how to do it.

The Poster photo or logo can be changed? I would like to let my user / poster to upload their own logo or photo in user profile. Or any other plugin can do this ?
Unfortunately, ACFCP can’t upload images.
But you can use appropriate plugin. I recently contributed to one free plug-in and helped to make it compatible with Classipress.

ACF :: Hyperlink and ACF :: Privacy – are addons for “Advanced Custom Fields for ClassiPress” (ACFCP). They are just extend ACFCP functionality.
If you need only base functionality – install ACFCP.
If you need extend ACFCP – install ACF :: Hyperlink or ACF :: Privacy or both.
But remember! ACFCP can work alone, but ACF :: Hyperlink and ACF :: Privacy work only under ACFCP.

Yeah, you can choose fields for dispaly and for hide. Also you can choose fields visible only for admins. This feature included in standard installation.
If you need extend visibility options, you also can install ACF::Privacy plugin.
Thanks, but just to clarify: This can also be done in frontend registration of an ad? For example if I create a custom field that I set to required: The user HAS to register this field, BUT can choose for himself if the field should be visible?
Oops, no, sorry! I misunderstood your question. No user, can’t choose himself, only admin can choose for all. Sorry. But i think i’ll add this feature to ACF::Privacy plugin in near future. So you can follow me and you will know when it will available.
Ok I see. I have made a small adjustment to the cp_get_ad_details() function to implement this for now, but I will look into ACF::Privacy when this is added:-)

Does this plugin allow me to add check box fields with a $ value attached to it so that it adds up the values on the form and submits to Paypal for payment.
i.e. One of the fields will have the $ value and have to take the user to Paypal for payment (a custom Paypal checkout form?)
Well, if you want your users post paid ads – this is possible with standard ClassiPress functionality (no need any plugins).
But if you want your users post ads and sell something through their ads (paypal button on the ad or something else) – this plugin will helps you. But keep in mind – this plugin works under ClassiPress (in other words – this plugin for ClassiPress Theme).

Unfortunately no one has shared his BR translations, so you have to do it yourself using the instructions posted here http://marketplace.appthemes.com/plugins/advanced-custom-fields-for-classipress/#install. Another way – is to create new forum thread and ask people who have BR localization files for this plugin – share with you.

I don’t think you can do this with ACFCP. There is huge difference between Custom fields and Custom traxonomies. These are different concepts and they are not compatible. Sorry.

Yes, you did it right! So you set format ‘Number’, then select limitation ‘max’ and enter limitation attribute ‘10000’. Thats all.

does this work with the headline theme? I wanted to add fields to the front of the ad.
We tested this plugin with Headline a while ago. But honestly i can’t guarantee current compatibility. Anyway, compatibility problems can be easily resolved.
