Advanced Custom Fields for ClassiPress
The Advanced Custom Fields for ClassiPress(ACFCP) plugin is a powerful tool for extending the ClassiPress theme.
It allows you to add and completely control extra Profile fields and custom Ad fields. Also ACFCP Plugin allows the interaction of custom profile fields with custom ad fields and vice versa.
ACF adds many of the most requested features for ClassiPress:

The Plugin developed for a specific version of ClassiPress! After each update ClassiPress Plugin source code review. This may take some time.
Be prepared that if you upgrade ClassiPress before the release of upgrade Plugin – the Plugin turns off (for not to cause potential errors). The Plugin resume work on the condition that his version is compatible with the version of ClassiPress.
Manual Installation:
- Download the Plugin zip file advanced-custom-fields-for-classipress.zip
- Open WP Admin dashboard -> Plugins -> Add new -> Upload
- Upload and activate the Plugin from Plugins page.
- Find the menu “ClassiPress” on the WordPress administration page. Select the lower point “ACF options” and proceed to configure the Plugin.
Manual Update:
- Export ACF plugin settings to the INI file (just in case)
- Deactivate and Delete installed ACF plugin from plugins page
- Repeat all steps from manual install (see above)
Localization:
Starting with plugin version 2.3, was implemented internationalization system of plugin settings content.
Language Packs and Portable Object Template are located in the folder /wp-content/plugins/advanced-custom-fields-for-ClassiPress/languages/
Installing Language Packs:
- Open folder
/wp-content/plugins/advanced-custom-fields-for-ClassiPress/languages/ - Find Pack file for your language with name
advanced-custom-fields-for-ClassiPress-[LANGUAGE CODE]_[COUNTRY CODE].mo*.

Like I want people must enter exactly 9 digits, is this possible?

Thanks for the interest. Although the plugin will let you display an additional field “event date” if it exists on an ad, it has nothing to do with the order of the ads that appear in a category. To order it by a custom field, I suppose you will need some degree of custom coding.

1. You can add city, state and country, but it wouldn’t replace the category and user data.
2. The plugin has no bearing on the actual number of tabs in the single listing page sidebar. They will need to be manually removed.
3. It would always work with the latest version of ClassiPress, we release an update within days of a new release of ClassiPress, whenever required.

I just purchased ACFCP. I notice that in the single ad page, the fields are not displayed in the order listed in the form. The fields are displayed in the order listed in the custom field list. Please advise how to define the field display order in the single ad page. Thanks.

I’ve noticed that ACFCP is not working in the subsite if the plugin stays set as active in the network (root site – multisite). So, to stay functional I let it activated in the subsite and deactivate in the root site. Is it right? Should work like I’m describing? I noted that since a specific update in the past, this behaviour remains since then.

The best way of using the plugin on a WordPress network is to individually activate it on all sites that you want to use it on, whether it is the root site or a sub site, but not to “network activate” it.

The normal procedure to install a plugin in a subsite is installing in a multisite first, uploading the plugin via root/network site and then activating it for the network. Then, the plugin will be available for activation in the subsite level.
Should my custom profile fields working whether the plugin is activated in both root/network and sub site? In my install it’s only working when the plugin is deactivated in the root/network and active at sub site level.
You don’t need to network activate it to use it on sub sites, that is something only required for themes. Install the plugin on multisite and then go to individual sites and activate, that should work.
Hello, this is a good plugin and works well. However, I am having some issues with the password being required twice. But there is only one box for password. This only happens when the plugin is active. How can we fix this? It is a big inconvenience.

Hi Mohsin, does this plug in include an “Upload file” field type in “custom fields”?
My problem is that I need the users to upload a file when they are posting an add in one of the categories. The default customs fields doesn’t include that type.

– The one link that was broken is fixed now. There is a help section within the plugin too, where you will find the same information.
– There are no plans to add any major functionality to it, but it will still be maintained like it has been.
– Yes, all listing field values go in the postmeta table and profile field values go in the usermeta table.

Hi, I use a custom field to gather clients contact number, and use that number as part of the perma link. So all ads in my website have the structure: mydomain.com/category/123456789.
When users create a new ad, will this plugin check if the number in the custom field is already in use in an active ad? (whether is expired or not). Thanks.

No the plugin does not pick taxonomy terms to be field values on its own. You will need to write custom code for that.
