Overview
This product has been retired and it is no longer updated or supported after the release of ClassiPress 4.x. It only works up till ClassiPress 3.6.x. but we provide no guarantees it will work on your older version. Please exercise caution before purchasing or renewing a license for it.
We are pleased to present the large featured slider that we built in our ClassiEstate child theme as a standalone plugin for ClassiPress. The large slider of our real estate child theme generated quite a bit of interest and we decided to turn it into a plugin so people can use it without having to pay for the whole child theme. The Slider Ultimate plugin is unique and works brilliantly with ClassiPress, in short it makes ClassiPress even more classy.

Installation
- Extract zip in the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
- Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.
- Look for below code in tpl-ads-home.php within your theme folder:

and replace it with:

- Your image thumbnails may need to be updated for optimum usage with the plugin. Please install the AJAX Thumbnail Rebuild plugin and rebuild all your thumbnails just once for this purpose.

- What kind of support is offered with a purchased product?
Your product purchase includes one year of access to premium support via email and one year or free updates. Beyond that, you will need to renew your subscription year on year for around 30% of the product price. Support covers issues such as bug fixes (if any) under normal operation, how to use basic product features, very basic WordPress help, and help with very basic theme customisaton. If you need more advanced modifications please consider hiring a developer to do it for you. - Will you provide help with small modifications?
If you need to do small modifications, you may get help from us as long as they are reasonable in number and nature. If you have a lot of such modifications, please consider paid developer help. - What kind of help would be unreasonable to ask?
This is not an easy question to answer. We are here to ensure that the product you purchased works as intended by us and serves its purpose on your website. That means if it doesn’t work for you, we can step in and help you with it. However, it is when there are no issues with the functioning of the product and all you want is help with modification, that demands start getting unreasonable.
As mentioned before, we don’t mind helping with modifications, but we also expect you to have tried everything to do it yourself. In other words, we expect you to have tried all the settings in your theme, ensured that the issue relates to the product in question, searched through legacy product support forum, and looked around on Google for the answer to your questions before approaching us. Please bear in mind that one theme, one child theme and a few plugins can get you only so far, and you will probably need to make changes to the code of your website to add functionality, change design and personalise it. In case of too many modifications, we will politely ask you to seek paid help. - I am using one of your child themes. I am having an issue with it.
Please make sure the issue is really with the child theme by activating the parent theme and checking if the problem gets solved. Also please make sure you have tested all the settings in parent theme and child theme, sometimes the answer is right in there! Send us an email if the issue still persists. - I am using one of your child themes. I need help with customisation.
As a pre-requisite, you are going to need a basic understanding of HTML & CSS to start customising the layout and style of your theme. To dig deeper PHP knowledge, specifically to WordPress, will help as well. The WordPress Codex is a great place to start learning. For CSS changes related to text colour, background colour, fonts, etc, please consider using the Firebug extension. A simple Google search returns many good text/video tutorials. - Do you offer paid WordPress development services?

The purchase is supposed to come with support. I have left a message in the regular comments and the FB page. No support yet. I purchased based on my website looking exactly like the Demo. It does not. I’m assuming the plugin just needs to be updated, to work for classipress 3.6.0, but cannot get support.
Hello from the latest update published ads do not pass directly to take the ads slide… I don’t know where we have to configure so that a client that automatically inserts your ad appears marked featured ads…

Except it only shows 7 images? Or does it show all images listed on the site
in random order? In other words if there are a 100 featured images on my ClassiPress site it will show ALL OF THEM in random order and will replace the 7 images it shows on display as it works itself trough the remaining 94 images? Or does it only display 7 images period?

I understand that everyone will be laughing at me as it would seem obvious to more experienced users but if you are trying to widen your market you should say where this file is located

Hi Deniz, the short answer is no. The Dynamic Multi-Level Fields Plugin is not sold via the marketplace, so this is not the right place to discuss it, please use the sales thread on the forum or the website where the plugin is sold.

If I use the slider Ultimate on my Classipress site, is it still possible to charge posters to add their post as a featured Ad when they create a post?
Also, does it also add a featured ribbon to the listing?

The Slider Ultimate just replaces the default ClassiPress featured ads slider, so you can charge posters to post ads as normal. It does not add a featured ribbon to the listing, but there are free tutorials for that in the forum and a plugin called Featured Ultimate which does that in addition to putting your featured ads on top of the list.

it’s about the Randomly 7 featured listings for each page load, is it possible to set the number of listings featured for each load page? and is it possible to show featured by city(the random) ?

The number of featured listings on each page load can be changed via a simple edit in the code. To show featured ads by city will require additional custom coding, which is as simple as the first change.
Hai. Please open index.php and look for code:new WP_Query( showposts=14&cat=&paged=’ . $paged)Delete the ’14 and then you can setup how many posts to show by going to wp-admin > sginttes > reading > blog pages show at most. Thanks.
That’s actually not the correct way, because this will affect all the pages, including the homepage, category pages, etc.

One question I have… if a user pays for a featured ad yet they do not upload an image, their ad does not feature in your slider. Is there a fix for that?

Well, it’s just one line of code changed, the text on the button “More Info” has been made translatable using the new text domain “classipress” instead of “appthemes”.

Well, this plugin was created at the time of ClassiPress 3.1.8, and has not been tested on a version before that.

These instructions aren’t correct. I can’t find tpl-ads-home.php anywhere in the classipress folders. I’m running Version 3.2.1. Am I blind, if so what is the path to tpl-ads-home.php or what are install instructions for Classipress 3.2.1

probably isnt the best way around this but it works fine 🙂
looks like the code i submitted was filtered out grrr.
ok go to that php file and look for
cp_enable_featured == yes
change the yes to something like “change back to yes when if all goes wrong”
this will disable the standard feature.
then above that put the code provided and thats it
there is a bug with the description pushing the price and more info down below view.
this happens if the description is large, is there a fix for this
