Overview
CouponJoy gives your coupon website a real edge by opening the destination URL (affiliate/external) in the same browser tab and your coupon site in the new tab with coupon popup open like RetailMeNot.com, VoucherCodes.co.uk and other major retail sites. CouponJoy is compatible with Clipper 2.0+ and all its available child themes in the marketplace!
Note: This plugin only affects the online coupon codes, and not the printable ones or promotions

Installation
- Extract zip in the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
- Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.
- That’s it! There are no settings for this plugin and it works out of the box

- What kind of support is offered with a purchased product?
Your product purchase includes one year of access to premium support via email and one year or free updates. Beyond that, you will need to renew your subscription year on year for around 30% of the product price. Support covers issues such as bug fixes (if any) under normal operation, how to use basic product features, very basic WordPress help, and help with very basic theme customisaton. If you need more advanced modifications please consider hiring a developer to do it for you. - Will you provide help with small modifications?
If you need to do small modifications, you may get help from us as long as they are reasonable in number and nature. If you have a lot of such modifications, please consider paid developer help. - What kind of help would be unreasonable to ask?
This is not an easy question to answer. We are here to ensure that the product you purchased works as intended by us and serves its purpose on your website. That means if it doesn’t work for you, we can step in and help you with it. However, it is when there are no issues with the functioning of the product and all you want is help with modification, that demands start getting unreasonable.
As mentioned before, we don’t mind helping with modifications, but we also expect you to have tried everything to do it yourself. In other words, we expect you to have tried all the settings in your theme, ensured that the issue relates to the product in question, searched through legacy product support forum, and looked around on Google for the answer to your questions before approaching us. Please bear in mind that one theme, one child theme and a few plugins can get you only so far, and you will probably need to make changes to the code of your website to add functionality, change design and personalise it. In case of too many modifications, we will politely ask you to seek paid help. - I am using one of your child themes. I am having an issue with it.
Please make sure the issue is really with the child theme by activating the parent theme and checking if the problem gets solved. Also please make sure you have tested all the settings in parent theme and child theme, sometimes the answer is right in there! Send us an email if the issue still persists. - I am using one of your child themes. I need help with customisation.
As a pre-requisite, you are going to need a basic understanding of HTML & CSS to start customising the layout and style of your theme. To dig deeper PHP knowledge, specifically to WordPress, will help as well. The WordPress Codex is a great place to start learning. For CSS changes related to text colour, background colour, fonts, etc, please consider using the Firebug extension. A simple Google search returns many good text/video tutorials. - Do you offer paid WordPress development services?

I am using Flatter Child theme & using clipper 1.5.1 version, i can’t update it to latest version because i make some changes with it. Is this plugin will work with clipper old version & Flatter child theme also.
No, but you can send us an email after your order requesting CouponJoy 1.0.0 which should work for your setup unless you have modified the show coupon buttons in any way.
You answered “Nobels” question about running a copy of Couponjoy 1.0 with Clipper 1.5.1 which is what I have. Only I have the DEVELOPER version, which was just prior to the Clipper full release of 1.5.1…In other words, it does NOT have the “Lightbox” function at all. I also have the child theme Discounty installed. Would I also be able to use Coupon Joy 1.0 with the Pre-lightbox version of Clipper? Would it work?
If so, would there be any bugs I’d have to work with then specifically? Because I’d definitely buy it if I could us it with the pre-lightbox version of Clipper and Discounty (also pre-lightbox)!

Curious, but does your plugin overcome the Chrome browsers habit of blocking the opening of another tab when a user clicks on the “Show Coupon” button as occurs by default in Chrome for PC’s? Chrome seems to treat the default setup as a pop-up, unless you add the site to it’s excluded list.
Did you check the demo link on Chrome and find any issues?
I did just test Chrome and it appears to work, even with the default pop-up blocking enabled! Good. Okay, so follow-up question….

Sorry for the delay. Clipper 1.5.1 introduced Lightbox, the versions prior to that didn’t have the popups. It doesn’t work with any pre-Lightbox version.

Why isn’t this just build into clipper theme and/or child themes?
Hope you realize, the clipper theme/framework is not SEO friendly, so sites running clipper do not rank in Google results and this means nobody using clipper is making any money what so ever. Not only I already paid twice for the theme, in order to get the latest fix/updates after the old version broke my site, you guys are still trying to extract more money from people, for ideas which we have made to help improve the theme with basic functionality, and such suggestion are being released as extra plugins, so you make extra money….

With due respect, you should address your concerns to AppThemes via their support channels. This is totally the wrong place for a general rant about Clipper because:
1. AppThemes have not created the plugin, and don’t read/moderate the comments section here. So they won’t “realize” anything that you want them to.
2. The maker of this plugin (myself) has not played any part in creating Clipper. So while I do understand your viewpoint, how is addressing the maker of a $9 plugin (of which AppThemes take a cut) about the multiple issues you had with a $99 theme someone else made, going to help?

Hi, I just checked the demo in Chrome (latest) and IE 11 and Edge (Latest MS Browser), and Firefox and when I click on the “Show Coupon” Field in the demo, it simply opens the lightbox but does NOT open the affiliate link in the original tab as it is supposed to. I have to manually click on the “open site” button to get the affiliate link to open on the demo…
I was just about to make the purchase but obviously it needs to work in all the major browsers, since that is the whole point of the plugin. Please advise, thanks!

I’m using Windows 10, yes. Is it fully tested with Clipper 1.6.1 and does it work fully with Discounty too?
I played with it some more, I believe it might be the frame in the demo, as I removed it and that seems to be working.
It’s fully tested with Clipper 1.6.1. It was tested on Discounty a while ago, and found to be working. The plugin does not affect the coupon titles, so you will need to turn off any option in Discounty (not sure if it was in Discounty or Koupon child theme, may be both) that adds the popup to coupon titles, otherwise you will have two different popups that will just confuse the visitors.
CouponJoy plugin is not working with Koupon child theme and clipper 1.6.1 version.
I have tested it with flatter theme also, copy button on pop up is not copying its coupon code after plugin active. Please fix it.

For Clipper 1.5.1, the only thing on offer is CouponJoy 1.0.0 which you can request as a customer. We only provide support for the latest versions of our products though for obvious reasons.

It’s an old unsupported version. A couple of bugs have been fixed in the later versions. To obtain a copy, you will need to buy the current version and send us a request email for 1.0.0. Basically, use it at your own risk.

I am having issues with this plugin when closing a code box from the single coupon page. I get the error “Page Not found”. I also notice that it appends a “&_c=xxxx” on the URL when opening the codebox from a single coupon page. Any idea what was causing it? Will this be fixed in the next release? Thanks.

CouponJoy works fine on desktops but not on mobile phones.
If you click on the coupon box, you get the pop up with coupon code BUT it does not open the destination URL (affiliate link).
Can you please run a test on a mobile device.

The plugin has always worked for a few days but now no longer works and I do not understand why because I have not changed anything.
Use the template Clipper and I need that when you click on an offer with coupons, would open a popup where the code to insert and the key to copy and go to the site as it was before.
In the settings it is okay but does not work, can you help? thank you.
