I’m a newbie what i must do to translate to other language your plugin?
You must tanslate jobroller itself into your language, our plugin uses the same language package.
if your jobroller site is translated, so you’ll need to do anything !
Cheers
This is funny, you didn’t reply my messages, questions for my problem with this plugin.
but you answer pre-sale questions.
I am not mad. but it’s sad.
You said you would send me some code last month and not even replied any of recent messages.
I really hope apptheme support is getting better.
Hi Pulla,
We believe we answer every question we receive, either here or in the forums or the private messages. and I personally replied your last private message about the
lately we receive lot of private messages, we keep asking our customers to use the forums instead, to let us follow their support tickets, but they keep sending private messages, until we have to empty our inbox every 3 or 4 days ( we have 500 messages allowed).. sometimes we receive empty messages, I am not sure why, and the others we only get notification that our inbox is full and that someone tried to send us private message.
We ignore no customer, I am really sorry if you sent any message and you thought we received it, but I assure to you, we answer all the questions, no matter either it’s presale or bugs’ ones, if you check the forums, You’ll see that we are online daily for 16 hours per day, and we answer all the questions ( check simplux forums for example).
Please create a thread with the last question you asked, like this we be sure that no question goes in the air and we reply it as soon as you write it.
As I said before, we answer questions very fast and we try to maintain every single issue and question quickly . but just few customers overloaded the private messages’ inbox until sometimes we be unable to not receive any other message.
I assure to you that there is no old private messages left unread or not answered , except the ones of today that we are going to answer now,
Just copy and past your question in a new thread in the forums.I will answer it myself very promptly until You be satisfied with our support and with the plugin.
I am sorry again for disappointing you, we try out best to satisfy everyone.
Is possible to have multiple category/job type searches?
What i mean: Instead of dropdowns, it’s checkboxes.
It’s kinda annoying you can only select one category and one job type at a time..
@modezomen,
There is no option for that, but it’s possible to be done through some custom mods.
Cheers
I already bought it, and I want to code that functionality, but i’m having a hard time figuring out, where the plugin does the actual search.
Thanks Moderonen for purchasing our plugin.
You find the files you need inside the plugin’s folder,
the functions are inside: jr-advanced-search.php, jr-advanced-search-functions.php and the process file jr-advanced-search-process
You can also adit the widgets to include that option here jr-advanced-search-widget.php
Your demo doesn’t work in Firefox or Chrome.
Hi, please check out this link, http://demos.jobthemes.com/job-super-search/ it’s working for me
Cheers
Thanks for the link. That worked. Can you tell me if it is possible to create an additional drop-down box for “Cities” and pull from that field? I want user to be able to display a combined search on “Category” and “City” that just returns the jobs in that category located in that specific city.
Also, is it possible for the drop-down boxes to hold state after the search is submitted? i.e. they continue to show the Category and City selected.
Thanks
The plugin doesn’t show extra fields if they are not built in the database of jobroller. All the fields are attached to the framework of Jobroller, but in case you want more fields, like cities to be shown, You’ll need to add the custom taxonomy of the city to jobroller. which means a custom mod should be implemented.
I hope I am explaining it well.
Cheers
I am interested to buy the Jobroll super search plugin. Is it compatible with latest Jobroll theme version 1.7.2 ?
If not , any plan to upgrade it soon?
Thanks,
Choo
Hi Choo,
I have just replied your PM.
Yes it works just fine, Jobroller 1.7.2 was just a maintenance release, our plugin is compatible with it.
Regards
The “keyword” search in my standard JR 1.7.1 install does not work correctly. It returns “page not found” after the first page of returns. Does your plugin use the same search mechanism as AppThemes? Also, does it support radius search?
TIA
Hi Keris,
could you please create a thread in the plugin’s forum explaining how does the keyword not work?
No , the plugin uses its own mechanism, it makes the search in custom types and it doesnt not support the radius- location by google – search.
Regards
Hello..is there a working demo?
Hi gibby,
Thanks for your question.
The demo must be working, do you receive any errors?
I will check it out now.
Cheers
Sorry I should have explained the demo links don’t open at all…
You go here http://demos.jobthemes.com/index.php=job-super-search-demo, you select a color scheme in the top bar, you’ll see the plugin’s search bar in the right sidebar.
Please confirm if you can see it
Cheers
sorry nothing – browser will not open…
I can only assume it is because I am in China and your site / server is blocked…
I am not sure about this cause.
do you see any error, or just a blank page?
If you think your connection blocks our website, so you can use a proxy and see if it be still blocked or not !
Cheers
Can I add Super Search on top of “JobsApp” plug in?
A
@anuraagv : Super search plugin is a widget plugin that can be placed in any sidebar of the jobroller based site.
If you create a sidebar in the header of jobsapp theme, you can simply add the super search on th top.
Cheers
hello dear, there is no location field, but i need location field in advance search
Hi Nageen,
The location field is not a custom taxonomy. also it’s included in the main search bar based on google map function.
In our plugin, You find an addition search bar (advanced search) including job category, job type, salary and keyword input.
Cheers
actually i need 3 things n my search, Keyword, location and category.
so how can i do this
another issue is that when i click on search button without putting text in fields, after clicking submit, it will show home page not search page with all listings
The location must be a custom taxonomy , to achieve that you should create it as list of predefined cities or states ( like categories and job types) and then the plugin detencts it and display it there.
About your issue, I cannot replicate it in my install.
Post yuour url in the forums so we can see.
Hi there!
I have interest to buy your plugin.
I have few questions:
Is it possible to make advanced search with your plugin like this:
http://www.indeed.com/advanced_search
http://www.careerbuilder.com/JobSeeker/Jobs/AdvancedSearch.aspx?sc_cmp2=js_home_advsearch
http://jobsearch.monster.com/AdvancedSearch.aspx
I know that extra customizations will be needed, can you assist with that, or give me some suggestions?
Thank you
Hi Damjanco,
Thanks for being interested in our plugin.
I am afraid that the plugin cannot give such very advanced search feature for the reason that jobroller framework itself doesnt have all those fields like in indeed or careerbuilder.
Our plugin works with the custom taxonomies of jobroller (job type, job category, salary and input for keyword).
It’s possible to custumize it but I am sorry that we cannot assist you with that (It needs lot of time and effort to achieve what you want). but still you can hire a good developer at codeable.io , they have skilled developers there and one of them can help you to make it.
One more time to not give you misleading details, our plugin only set a search bar of the custom taxonomies used in jobroller.but still it can be customized.
Regards
Hi Spartac,
the demo seems to be broken.
For Example
– I search for the keyword rockstar in resume search sidebar
If i select no category it gives me the rockstar resume (As what happens in the default theme)
BUT
The moment i select the education category, it gives me nothing. (when infact this resume is under the education category).
Is this only an issue in the demo ?
Cause i need to be sure it works fine before i go ahead and make a purchase
Hi Rahulr85r
I will take a look with the demo. and if there is any issue I will forward it to my dev team to fix it.
Thanks for the heads up.
Regards
thanks buddy, waiting for an update 🙂
I think there is a glitch in the demo, I will test an updated version and see if it’s fixed.
I then confirm it to my dev team so they fix it.
sure spartac,
BTW. is there another working link that i can refer .
just wanted to see ..
if you could share any other website where its working should the job too.
I will test it on my local site, I don’t remember now any customer’s website to give you to test with it.
Hi spartac,
do we have a lead yet ??
or if you could tell me a lead time.
Hi Rahulr85r , I took a note to my dev team to fix it. There is no eta, We will release a maintenance version that works properly with the latest version of jobroller.
Regards
Hi,
I want to buy this plugin but it is compatible with the last jobroller 1.7.4 ?
Waiting for your reply,
Regards.
Hi,
It was tested with JR 1.7.4 and it worked perfectly.
Cheers
Hi ,
I would like to confirm, is the Super Search work like classipress Advanced Search which it have ability to gather all data combined from multiple custom fields with one search ?
Hi,
yes somehow it is. the super search displays a widget that can applies combined data from multiple custom taxonomies ( job lcategory, job type,..)
Cheers
Is it possible to choose what order the salary list, or other lists, are listed in? like highest to lowest etc?
Thanks
Hi Kam,
for now it’s not an option, YOu’ll need to modify the core code to achieve that, it displays the list of salaries by ranges (like selecting categories and types. the user selects the range of salary, ie: from 1000 to 2000 etc )
Cheers
Is there any way to hook in to this part of the plugin? For now I’ve used the work around but wondering if I can just hook in to it so I don’t have to change the core plugin files …
Hi Scriptedpixels, for now, it doesnt allow hooks, the only way to implement that is to custom mod the code itself.
I will forward this request to my dev team so we see how we can add hooks in the next releases.
Regards
Hi,
is it compatible with the latest JR?
is it compatible with latest JR?
Yes it is.
Posting new threads @ support forum doesn’t work so I’ll write it here. I’m using latest JR and having these problems:
1. I have a job offer for waiters(keyword waiter is in post content and title), job_cat is restaurant, job_type full-time. Now the problem:
selecting job cat(restaurant) + job type(full-time) + keyword(waiter) doesn’t work,
selecting job type + keyword doesn’t work,
selecting job cat + keyword doesn’t work.
Selecting only keyword works fine, selecting job cat + job type works fine.
2. “Include empty terms?” doesn’t work(shows only !empty terms).
Please contact me asap since this clearly isn’t the way it should work.
Thanks in advance.
Hi seolution
post the url so we can test this scenario and provide the fix.
Cheers
Your inbox is full, please PM your contact details so I can send the url
Nevermind the PM request. You can test it yourself on a clean JR install. You can find the bug on a latest JR and latest WP when searching for default job listing “WordPress Developer” in taxonomies “wordpress” & “freelance”.
Any updates? When will your plugin start to work properly?
Hi Seolution,
As I said Pushed it to my dev team to renovate it and add more functions. they started working on it but it will take at least 3 weeks to release it.
if you see it’s a long delay to wait. You can contact appthemes asking for the refund and once you see the new version of the plugin, You can purchase it again.
Best regards
Thanks for the reply.
I’ll wait and hope you will be able to release the update this month;)
3 weeks have passed, any updates on release date?
Please PM your contact details via support forum
So it’s 1,5 month since the bugs were reported, no updates/nor any information from the author.
We replied yuou by email and by facebook.
Cheers
Hello,
I think a much-awaited feature is needed in this plugin before I buy.
* Dropdown with a checkbox for the category, job location, salary and tags to have multiple selections.
* Jobs Sort By Relevance and by Date is required
* Work Experience Filter Required ( Users to select what range of experience jobs they want to see.) Like a 3year exp programmer won’t be looking for a job that required 10+ years experience. So seeing those job in results just waste time of the jobseeker
* Job Location Is a must!
Without these features site is incomplete. You can see here what I am trying to describe http://imgur.com/a/dttgV
We all have competitors if we don’t beat them we loose!
Hi, is this a working plugin ?
Can I search for keyword + category (ie. Human resources)+location+date (ie.last week)+job type ?
Thanks
Guillermo
Hi
Yes the plugin still works but it requires more enhancement from our side. I would suggest to wait until we come up with a new update which will include bugs’ fixes and more features.
Cheers
